James Twyman To Travel to North Korea

Plans are currently underway for Peace Troubadour James Twyman to travel to North Korea for a worldwide meditation for peace.

North Korea, known as the Hermit Kingdom, is perhaps the most isolated country on Earth. Yesterday two US B-1 bombers flew over South Korea in response to resumed ballistic missile tests in the North, ramping up tensions. This ever expanding drama threatens the survival of our planet, and this is why such a peace mission is so important.

The journey will likely take place in December or the beginning of the year, and we will keep you informed as negotiations progress. 

“I have felt a strong pull to focus a meditation on this region for a long time,” Twyman said. “This is not a political statement we’re making, but a human one. With the help of the North Korean government we will be able to bring positive attention and energy to this situation, and hopefully help bring about a lasting peace.”

Do you believe that these focused, synchronized meditations have the power to transform humanity? Five days ago we, along with the Peace Prayer Society, sponsored a meditation focused on protecting water, and in particular, the standoff between Native tribes and the Keystone Pipeline. It seemed that the protesters lost the fight to stop the construction of the pipeline, but then hours later Federal officials announced a temporary halt to the program. Then an even more amazing development happened yesterday when President Obama said he  would not authorize construction on a critical stretch of the Dakota Access pipeline, handing a significant victory to the Indian tribe fighting the project the same day the group lost a court battle.

Is it a coincidence this all began to shift after thousands of people stopped for 15 minutes to send their prayers and energy to the situation?

Now we are focusing our meditation on the next challenge facing tribes in North Dakota and around the world – to protect ALL SACRED LANDS from corporate greed. James Twyman will focus the vigil from the Unify Fest in Santa Fe on September 24th where thousands of people will be gathering to celebrate peace.
